Euston Meadow Witness

A Chromatic Life continues at Westland Gallery until October 13. During the span of the show, I’m sharing images and prose around some of my works.

Euston Meadow Witness

Love holds a magnificent power.

Euston Meadow Witness, Acrylic, 40×48”

This meadow is not far from home. But it takes a plan made ahead and a willingness to rise and a cooperative connection to make our way there, to meet the light.  We set out quietly and purposefully in the faint beginning of day; our feet know the way.  Having timed our arrival to witness dawn, we take up our quiet presence. The purpose and practice of our daily voyage binds us in our connection. Inside of it we, and you, and I find the courage to stand as empty bowls, untethering our guarded alertness, that ancient hidden necessary discipline.

We are here. Profoundly open and powerfully grounded, drawing from our certain belonging, we welcome the light.
